Might it be that after years of treating Palestinians as people without or a least with greatly diminished fundamental citizen and human rights on both sides of the Green Line, Israelis have grown accustomed to such an approach? I fear that I see here echoes of Arendt’s understanding of the relationships between anti-semitism, colonialism and totalitarianism.
