Nahed Habiballah


NAHED HABIBALLAH is a PhD Candidate in Sociology at the New School for Social Research. Her research interests are sociology of Religion and Political Sociology with an emphasis on the Middle East in general and Israel/Palestine in particular. Nahed has a Master’s Degree in Women’s Studies from Eastern Michigan University and a Master’s Degree in Human Rights & Democracy from the University of Malta. She has worked as a researcher in a Palestinian NGO (Panorama) in Ramallah, on refugee issues. Additionally, she has taken a position as a Program Officer in the UN World Food Program in Jerusalem. She has received her BA degree from the University of Haifa in Archeology and English Literature.
